Mary Mercado, 22, Killed in Temecula Crash on Rancho California Road
TEMECULA, CA (November 15, 2021) – Mary Mercado was killed after a head-on crash on Rancho California Road in Temecula.
The coroner’s office identified the 22-year-old Temecula woman as one of the victims in the fatal wreck which took place on Monday.
The incident happened when Mary Mercado was riding one vehicle which collided with another in Temecula. The two crashed on Rancho California Road, about 65 feet west of Via Vueltas.
2 Cars Collide
The California Highway Patrol described the cars as an SUV and a sedan. The Patch wrote that the accident occurred at around 11:30 a.m.
Officers confirmed that Mary Mercado died as a result of the crash. Two other people sustained non-life threatening injuries due to the impact.
Paramedics took them to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Rancho California Road to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Temecula crash is still under investigation.
