Mary Suess, 22, Killed in DUI Crash Near Longeway and Phoenix Lake Roads
SONORA (September 17, 2019) – A motorcycle passenger was killed after an alleged DUI crash in the area of Longeway and Phoenix Lake roads Sunday.
The California Highway Patrol identified the deceased victim as 22-year-old Mary Mackenzie Suess, a resident of Sonora.
A 1993 Harley Davidson was traveling north on Longeway Road when its operator allegedly traveled through a stop sign and onto Phoenix Lake Road.

According to Napa Valley Register, the bike then spun out of control going into a curve and crashed. The accident took place in the early hours of September 15.
Suess and the male operator of the motorcycle were ejected upon impact. The woman ultimately died as a result of the tragic collision.
Meanwhile, the man suffered minor injuries following the wreck. CHP determined that he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the incident occurred.
The suspect was then arrested for DUI and booked into Tuolumne County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
