69-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck on Irvine Avenue
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (June 5, 2026) — A 69-year-old woman identified as MaryAnn White-Calhoun, described by authorities as a transient, was killed after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Newport Beach.
The fatal collision was reported around 4 p.m. in the 3400 block of Irvine Avenue near Bristol Street, according to Newport Beach police. MaryAnn White-Calhoun was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said the occupants of the vehicle involved, including the driver and passengers, were transported to local hospitals with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
