Drivers Injured in Traffic Collision on Forty Mile Road Friday
Marysville, CA (December 4, 2021) – Two motorists suffered injuries following a fatal accident that occurred near Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Friday evening.
According to the Sacramento Bee, a 1996 Toyota T100 pickup truck heading south on Forty Mile Road struck a male party. Preliminary investigation revealed the vehicle driving behind the pickup, a Toyota Highlander, slowed to stop. The driver of the Highlander attempted to shield the man lying on the ground. However, a Chevrolet S10 pickup truck rear-ended the SUV causing the Highlander to hit the man a second time.

The article published online mentioned the driver of the Toyota pickup appeared unharmed. Meanwhile, the driver of the Highlander suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Adventist Health and Rideout hospital. The driver of the Chevrolet pickup also suffered moderate injuries but received treatment at the scene.
Officials mentioned the pedestrian sadly died in the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
