YUBA COUNTY, Calif. (July 16, 2021)  — A Marysville fatal motorcycle crash happened Thursday night on Highway 70 in Yuba County.

The collision happened about 9:50 p.m. on Thursday, July 15th near River Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A man riding a motorcycle died when an unknown vehicle crashed into his bike due to unknown reasons, according to CHP Yuba-Sutter.

The unknown vehicle changed lanes into the lane occupied by the motorcyclist on Highway 70, just north of Feather River Blvd.

The motorcyclist subsequently lost control of the bike and crashed into the metal guardrail, police said. Sadly, the motorcycle rider suffered fatal injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the unknown vehicle fled the Marysville fatal motorcycle crash scene. The driver continued traveling southbound on Highway 70, according to witnesses.

Witnesses provided the basic facts of the collision to CHP officers. Also, authorities are reviewing physical evidence to help them locate the suspect’s vehicle.
