
Pickup and Dump Truck Collide in Marysville
MARYSVILLE, Calif. (August 9, 2024) — A pickup truck overturned into a ditch after a head-on crash with a semi-truck Friday morning on Hammonton Smartsville Road in Marysville.
The traffic accident occurred at 3812 to 4025 Hammonton Smartsville Road around 5:38 a.m. on August 9th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a Toyota Tundra pickup truck and a dump truck and fully-loaded trailer were involved.

The Tundra reportedly went off the roadway into a ditch where it overturned. At least one person became trapped in the wreckage. The Yolo County Fire Department responded and underwent a major extrication to rescue the driver and or passenger.
The injured were transported to a hospital, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed both vehicles from the roadway and investigators are piecing together what happened to determine fault.
