1 Seriously Injured in Mather Head-On Crash Near Zinfandel and Douglas
MATHER, CA (April 7, 2021) – A head-on crash seriously injured at least one person near Zinfandel Drive and Douglas Road in Mather.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4 p.m.
CHP said for an unknown reason a van left its lane and struck a sedan head-on. The two collided near the intersection of Zinfandel Drive and Douglas Road in Mather.
Van Hits Sedan Near Mather Airport
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Mather Airport. They found one individual who suffered major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to the hospital for treatment. The name of the patient and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
Meanwhile, officials closed the roadway following the Mather crash. Authorities are still determining the cause of the wreck.
