Matias Lopez, 52, Dies at Hospital After Pedestrian Accident at Pacific and Mountain View Avenue
Oxnard, CA (June 3, 2021) – Matias Lopez, a 52-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries at a medical facility following an apparent road rage incident in the area of Pacific and Mountain View Avenue.
On April 23, a vehicle of unknown make and model struck Matias Lopez at the intersection of Pacific and Mountain View. The KEYT News revealed the victim, and the driver were involved a verbal altercation prior to the collision.
Deadly Hit-and-Run Car, Pedestrian Accident in Oxnard
Responding paramedics found Matias Lopez with serious injuries. An ambulance rushed the Oxnard man to a hospital for treatment where he remained until his death on May 6.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the driver involved in the catastrophic incident fled the scene. Police later identified the suspect, and arrested him.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
