Motorcycle Rider, 20, Killed in Crash on Churn Creek Road
REDDING, Calif. (Sept. 4, 2024) – Matthew Ray Cardilino, 20, of Redding, died in a Redding motorcycle accident on Churn Creek Road near Maraglia Street.
The car versus motorcycle collision occurred at around 3:50 p.m. on August. 27th, according to the Redding Police Department and Action News Now.
The young Redding motorcyclist was traveling north in the 2800 block of Churn Creek Road when a truck exited a driveway into his path. The rider was unable to avoid hitting the truck and crashed into it. He suffered fatal injuries and died following the accident.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck, Darrell Mullins, 71, of Los Molinos, stopped and cooperated with authorities and the Redding Police Traffic Unit’s investigation.
The case remains under investigation.
