Motorcyclist Matthew Clements, 33, Killed in Sunnyvale Crash on Highway 237
SUNNYVALE (August 21, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed after a traffic collision along Highway 237 last week Thursday.
The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 33-year-old Matthew Dustin Clements, a resident of Soulsbyville, 70 miles east of Stockton.
California Highway Patrol said Clements was riding a Yamaha motorcycle west on Highway 237 when for an unknown reason he rear-ended a Ford F-650 truck.

According to an article published by The Mercury News, the rider was thrown off the bike onto the road as a result of the crash. He suffered major injuries upon impact.
Paramedics responded to the scene and immediately transported Clements to Stanford Hospital, where he later died. The accident occurred on August 15 at 6:37 a.m., east of the Mathilda Avenue off-ramp.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the operator of the truck was hurt or stopped following the wreck. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
