Matthew Davis, 33, Killed in Sacramento Hit-and-Run on El Camino Avenue and Business 80
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 28, 2022) – Matthew Davis was killed after a hit-and-run crash on El Camino Avenue in Sacramento.
The coroner’s office identified the 33-year-old man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Thursday.
The incident happened when Matthew Cody Davis was driving on El Camino Avenue near the Business 80 in Sacramento. For an unknown reason, another vehicle struck him.
Driver Hits Another Car, Flees Scene
Police said Matthew Davis went off the road and his car ended up on an embankment near the freeway. He sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Matthew Davis died at the scene of the crash. The Sacramento Bee and CBS Sacramento wrote that the accident occurred on January 27 at around 2:40 a.m.
Meanwhile, police located the other vehicle abandoned on El Camino. They affirmed that the other driver did not stop to help the victim and fled on foot.
Officers are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect who left Matthew Davis dead. The cause of the Sacramento hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
