Driver Killed, 1 Injured in Fresno Crash on Highway 41
Fresno, Calif. (July 20, 2021) – Matthew Hurst, 50, of Fresno, died Tuesday in a fatal head-on crash on Highway 41 in Fresno.
The 4:30 p.m., July 20th collision took place when his Hyundai allegedly crossed from the southbound side of Highway 41 into oncoming northbound traffic. The car reportedly crashed into another motorist near the Friant off ramp, according to ABC 30 News.
Deadly Highway 41 Collision
Sadly, Matthew Hurst suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene of the fatal crash.
Meanwhile, the 56-year-old man driving the second vehicle survived the collision. However, he suffered minor injuries and it is believed he was taken by ambulance to a hospital for follow-up care, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Also, traffic investigators seek to determine if speed, drugs and or alcohol were factors in the collision.
