Matthew Mesa, 22, Injured in Mojave Car Accident
Mojave, CA (September 25, 2020) – A 22-year-old man suffered injuries in a traffic collision that occurred on State Route 14 at Backus Road Friday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol identified the victim in the Mojave accident as Matthew Mesa. Additional details on the injured party have not been revealed thus far.
Earlier reports indicated Mesa was in a vehicle traveling on SR-14 at approximately 2:20 p.m. When the vehicle approached the crossing at Backus Road, it collided with another car of unspecified make and model.
Officials confirmed the crash ejected two people out of their vehicle. Responding paramedics found a Hispanic male adult, and another person lying on the roadway.

Paramedics rendered aid to the victims, including one person later identified as Mesa. Medical teams rushed the patients to hospital for treatment of major injuries.
