Mauricio Molina, 60, Killed in Boyle Heights Hit-and-Run at Indiana and Dennison
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 17, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash killed Mauricio Molina at Indiana and Dennison streets in the Boyle Heights neighborhood.
The coroner’s office identified the 60-year-old Los Angeles man as the victim of the fatal collision which took place on Tuesday.
The incident happened when Mauricio Molina was walking eastbound across South Indiana Street at Dennison Street in Boyle Heights.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him in the intersection. My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on April 12 at about 8 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the pedestrian down on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver did not stop to render aid to the man and fled westbound on Olympic Boulevard.
Officers forced the area of Indiana and Dennison streets to shut down for a time following the incident. The cause of the Boyle Heights hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
