1 Killed, 1 Injured in Golf Cart Accident Vail Lake Village Resort
TEMECULA, Calif. (July 27, 2018) — Mauricio Murillo, 38, of Corona, died and another was seriously injured Thursday night when a golf car overturned in the 38000 block of Highway 79, according to CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters.
The collision was reported about 10:51 p.m. at the Vail Lake Village Resort. The golf cart overturned on top of the two victims. While Murillo died at the scene, and the other was transported by ground ambulance to a hospital where they are being treated for serious injuries.
The collision is under investigation by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
The RV resort where this happened has had previous injury accidents.

At this time, we do not know what caused this accident. Police are reviewing the facts and will piece together what happened to determine fault.
