Mauro Jimenez, 62, Injured in Paso Robles Crash at Highway 46 and River Grove
PASO ROBLES, CA (February 13, 2022) – A car crash left Mauro Jimenez injured at Highway 46 and River Grove Drive in Paso Robles.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 62-year-old Paso Robles man as one of the victims in the collision which occurred on Saturday.
The incident happened when Mauro Jimenez was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander west on Highway 46 in Paso Robles. A 2017 Toyota Corolla was headed in the same direction.
At the same time, a 2000 Honda CR-V was traveling south on River Grove Drive. Its driver, 49-year-old Maria Garcia De Arteaga, did not notice the Toyota as she entered the intersection.
Multiple Cars Collide
In the process, the Corolla hit the driver’s side of the Honda. CHP said the Chevrolet approached and then collided with the Toyota.
Mauro Jimenez and his passenger ended up suffering from minor wounds as a result of the crash. Paramedics took them to the Twin Cities Community Hospital for further aid.
The two people riding the Corolla survived with major injuries. Maria Garcia De Arteaga, of Pahrum Nevada, and three more occupants of the CR-V sustained moderate to major injuries.
Medical personnel rushed the six other patients to the Sierra Vista Hospital for treatment. The Tribune and KSBY News wrote that the accident took place on February 12 at about 7:50 p.m.
The cause of the Paso Robles crash is still under investigation.
