Mawusi Fiagbenu Killed Adelanto Crash on Highway 395 Crash at Rancho Road
Woman Killed in T-Bone Collision at Adelanto Intersection
ADELANTO, Calif. (March 25, 2025) — Mawusi Fiagbenu, 47, of Adelanto, died Thursday two days after a crash last week in Adelanto on US Highway 395 at Rancho Road.
The T-bone collision occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18th between a white 2010 Mazda CX-7 and a white 2020 Chevrolet Impala, according to VVNG.
Local sheriff’s officials determined the northbound white Mazda CX-7 was traveling on Highway 395 when it’s driver crashed into the driver’s side of the westbound Chevrolet Impala driven by Mawusi Fiagbenu who was traveling along Rancho Road.
One of the motorists failed to stop at the intersection prior to the collision which is controlled by traffic lights and left-turn signals in all directions.
Both vehicles went off the roadway and wound up in a dirt field on the northwest corner, the report said.
The Chevrolet had major driver’s side damage and the Mazda had major front-end damage following the collision.
Paramedics with the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded and gave CPR to one person who was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Meanwhile, the Mawusi Fiagbenu was airlifted to a trauma center. Sadly, the 47-year-old Adelanto woman later died at the hospital on March 20th.
“She was the proud and loving mother of five children and the adoring grandmother of four,” according to a Gofundme page created by her twin sister Amasu to cover costs of her funeral expenses.
