SUNLAND-TUJUNGA, California (July 3, 2016) – A 21-year-old motorcyclist killed in a collision Saturday afternoon at Foothill Boulevard and Rhodesia Avenue has been identified as Max Gonzalez, according to Los Angeles Daily News.
The crash was reported at about 1:50 p.m.
As per the article, Los Angeles police said Gonzalez was riding his motorcycle west on Foothill Boulevard when apparently at the same time a Mercedes Benz C230, which was also headed westbound, made a U-turn in front of the motorcyclist.
The 21-year-old La Crescenta rider then collided with the Mercedes.
Police affirmed Gonzalez was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the 61-year-old woman driving the Mercedes at the time stayed at the scene and was unharmed.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
