7 Children Possibly Hurt in Collision on Highway 299
McArthur, CA (October 22, 2022) – A traffic accident involving a school bus occurred Tuesday morning on State Route Highway 299, the KRCR News reported.
Semi Hits School Bus in McArthur
Officials said the school bus was carrying Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten students from a pumpkin patch field trip. For reasons still unclear, a semi truck hit the rear of the school bus on Highway 299 just east of McArthur.
The incident took place Tuesday morning.
When rescue teams arrived at the crash site, they immediately rendered aid to all parties found at the scene. The article published online mentioned seven students from the Fall River Elementary School were taken to Mayers Memorial Hospital for cautionary observation. Additional details on the conditions of the juveniles remained undisclosed.
