Woman Ejected, Injured in Collision on Highway 89 Thursday
McCloud, CA (September 16, 2021) – One person suffered serious injuries following a motorcycle accident that occurred on State Route Highway 89 Thursday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a motorbike with two riders crashed on the highway in McCloud. The collision took place near Bart Lodge.
Initial records indicated the motorcyclist either hit or swerved to avoid hitting a bear, leading to the accident.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident in McCloud, September 16
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the crash site. Paramedics found a female party lying in the middle of the roadway. The CHP log confirmed the woman suffered major injuries as a result of the collision.
Officials mentioned the other person riding on the motorbike was not immediately located at the scene.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several factors surrounding the major motorcycle accident in McCloud.
