MEAD VALLEY: Christopher Osorio Killed in Crash at Rider Street, Old Elsinore Road

Perris Man, 23, Identified as Motorist Killed in Mead Valley Accident
MEAD VALLEY, CA (July 21, 2026) — Christopher Osorio, 23, of Perris, died Saturday night when his car was rear-ended by a speeding pickup truck in Mead Valley at Rider Street and Old Elsinore Road.
The young man was driving a Pontiac G6 eastbound when his car was struck from behind around 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 18th, at the Mead Valley intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver in the Pontiac had stopped for a red light at the intersection when the speeding Nissan Frontier truck failed to slow down and crashed into the car.
The Pontiac was heavily damaged, and sadly its young driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the Riverside Sheriff’s Office reported.
Meanwhile, the Nissan had moderate front-end damage and its driver was transported by ambulance to a regional trauma center for moderate injuries.
Detectives are investigating the circumstances leading up to the deadly crash, but at this time there were no arrests made.
