Pedestrian Killed in Mead Valley Crash on Old Elsinore Road

MEAD VALLEY, CA (August 14, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a crash on Old Elsinore Road in Mead Valley.

The Riverside County Fire Department received a call about the tragic accident on Saturday night. Officers reported the incident at around 8:40 p.m.

According to Cal Fire, a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Mead Valley. The driver hit the person in the 20000 block of Old Elsinore Road.

Victim Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and found the victim lying on the ground as a result of the collision. They pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, officers did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim.

Authorities forced a stretch of Old Elsinore Road to shut down for a time following the collision. The cause of the fatal Mead Valley pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
