1 Injured in Mead Valley Hit-and-Run Crash on Cajalco Road

MEAD VALLEY, CA (October 4, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Cajalco Road in Mead Valley.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 12:51 p.m.

According to CHP, four vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at 20275 Cajalco Road near Alexander Street in Mead Valley.

Multiple Vehicles Collide

The incident log described three of the cars as two white sedans and a Jeep. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.

Medical personnel found one person hurt as a result of the collision. They then provided aid to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident.

Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the fourth vehicle did not stop to help and fled the area.

Officers forced a stretch of Cajalco Road to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Mead Valley hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
