Mecca, CA (May 3, 2023) – A bicyclist suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Lincoln Street and Avenue 68 Tuesday evening, May 2.

Auto vs. Bicycle Crash in Mecca

The KESQ News reported a vehicle of unknown make and model struck a minor riding a bike at the intersection in Mecca. Officials said the collision took place at about 6:11 p.m.

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the cyclist complaining of pain. Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. The name and exact age of the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the crash.

The California Highway Patrol group continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened at Lincoln Street and Avenue 68 in Mecca.
