Postal Truck, Car Crash on Lincoln Street in Mecca
MECCA, Calif. (August 26, 2022) — A two-vehicle Mecca crash involving a USPS truck happened Friday on Lincoln Street at 63rd Avenue.
The collision occurred about 12:08 p.m. on August 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a USPS truck and a white Toyota Corolla collided due to unknown circumstances.
A woman got out of one of the vehicles and laid down on the ground, the report said. Meanwhile, the postal truck overturned onto its side during the crash. Tow trucks removed both of the vehicles.
CAL Fire sent paramedics to the scene to help those injured in the crash. They transported the woman to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the collision.
