Victim ID’d as Alberto Coyt-Gudino, 59, of Mecca
MECCA, California (September 28, 2015) — One person was killed early Monday morning in a pedestrian accident at Highway 111 and Avenue 66 in this unincorporated community in Riverside County, a report by the Riverside County Fire Department said.
The fatal pedestrian accident was reported at 6:03 a.m. this morning when the driver of a blue pickup truck struck the victim. Paramedics arriving at the scene reported the person died of their injuries upon their arrival.
The man killed was identified as Alberto Coyt-Gudino, 59, of Mecca by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner Department.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident and will determine liability.
