Woman, 42, Killed in Crash on Rosedale Highway is Identified
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 29, 2024) — Megan Lee Sanders, 42, of Bakersfield. died last Tuesday in a pedestrian accident on Rosedale Highway or Old Highway 58 at Rudd Avenue in Bakersfield.
The deadly crash occurred at the Bakersfield intersection at around 6:03 a.m. on Jan. 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
CHP officials reported an eastbound vehicle struck the woman and wound up facing the wrong way in the westbound lanes of Rosedale Highway between Renfro and Heath Roads.
The Bakersfield Fire Department responded and located the pedestrian down in the roadway. They pronounced the woman dead at the scene. She was later identified as Megan Lee Sanders.
Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine fault for the pedestrian accident on Rosedale Highway in Bakersfield.
