Megan Nicholson, 25, Killed in Highway 62 Crash in Earp, California
EARP, California (July 7, 2016) —A 25-year-old Yuma, Arizona woman identified as Megan Nicholson died Tuesday when the SUV she was riding in as a passenger overturned as its driver allegedly swerved to avoid a collision with another vehicle on Highway 62, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
The fatal crash was reported about 1:46 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2. Nicholson was a front-seat passenger in a 2003 Ford Explorer SUV. Police say she was wearing her seat belt, but was partially ejected and died at the scene of the two-vehicle crash.
Paramedics responded and transported others who were hurt in the collision, but there were no specific details provided in the report.
The crash is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
