2 Killed in San Gabriel Hit-and-run Crash
SAN GABRIEL, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2018) – Meiyu Li, 59, of San Gabriel, and her 1-year-old granddaughter, Paisley Chen, were both struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Friday night at Del Mar Avenue and Live Oak Street.
The grandmother was pushing a Paisley in a stroller and was in a crosswalk when they two were struck by the motorist about 9:30 p.m., according to the San Gabriel police report.
Pedestrians Rushed to Hospital
The victims were transported to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, but they died of their injuries some time later.
Police are looking for the suspect’s vehicle described as a black or midnight blue Chevrolet S-10
Extreme extended cab pickup truck with chrome rims and a tinted rear window. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Las Tunas Drive, police said. The vehicle left behind its front grille Chevy emblem at the scene of the crash and the vehicle likely has extensive front-end damage.
