Colton Woman, 30, Struck, Killed While Riding a Bicycle to Work

COLTON, CA (Dec. 28, 2023) — Melanie Marie Reyna, 30, of Colton, died Sunday, Dec. 17th in a bicycle accident at East Washington Street and Santo Antonio Drive in Colton.

The deadly crash occurred at around 7:10 p.m. on Dec. 17th, just a week before Christmas, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.

The Colton Police Department responded to the intersection and determined the woman had been hit by a vehicle while riding her bicycle.

Melanie Marie Reyna suffered major injuries and died at the scene at 7:22 p.m., according to the San Bernardino coroner. The victim’s family created a Hope Fund Me page to raise money

The Colton Police Department is heading up the investigation into what happened.
