Woman Killed in Crash at Sacramento Intersection
Sacramento, Calif. (May 22, 2023) – Melina Griset Alvarez, 39, of Sacramento, died in a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Waterman and Gerber Road, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner.
A driver reportedly struck the Sacramento woman around 10:31 p.m. on May 19th, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident
Paramedics responded and located the pedestrian suffering from major injuries. Sadly, despite efforts to save her life, the woman died at the scene. Melina Alvarez was later identified on the coroner website.
Investigators are piecing together what happened to determine fault for the pedestrian accident.
