Federal Aviation Administration officials said a small white single-engine Cessna 172 crashed into a residential home. The incident was reported at 11:18 a.m.
As per the article, deputies said two people were aboard the plane when the accident occurred. One person was killed and the other was airlifted to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
In a report by Mercury News, San Mateo County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 57-year-old Melissa Magee, of Sacramento. It was not immediately known if Magee was the pilot or a passenger at the time.
Meanwhile, the name of the injured party has not been yet released. The investigation is ongoing.
