Melvin Kwaun Strong, 28, Killed in Car Accident at 18th and I Streets

December 24, 2018 – A 28-year-old man was killed after his vehicle was struck by a suspected DUI driver early Monday in the area of 18th and I streets, according to Sacramento Bee.
The fatality was identified as Melvin Kwaun Strong, of Vacaville.
Preliminary investigation revealed Strong was driving a gray Infiniti traveling west on I Street when a drunken driver apparently ran the stop sign and crashed into the left side of the Infiniti. The collision resulted in fatal trauma to Strong, who was sadly pronounced dead at a hospital.
Meanwhile, officials have also identified the suspect as Ivan Dimov. The man reportedly continued driving his white BMW following the initial crash, and ended up causing a chain-reaction collision involving as many as three parked cars.

Responding paramedics found Dimov suffering in major injuries. As per the article, the man was taken into custody by the CHP and is currently in the hospital. Furthermore, he was arrested on the scene for felony DUI, evading a police officer causing serious injury or death, and vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence charges.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
