Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Mendocino County Crash on Highway 20 Near Willits

MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (April 25, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist on Highway 20 near Willits in Mendocino County.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:24 p.m.

CHP said a vehicle and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on Highway 20 near mile marker 21 in Mendocino County.

Collision on Fort Bragg – Willits Road

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the city of Willits. They found the motorcyclist down on the ground as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of major injuries. The name of the wounded party and their condition at this time were not released.

Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the other driver ended up hurt or if they stopped after the incident. Officers forced the highway, known as Fort Bragg – Willits Road, to shut down following the collision.

Authorities are still determining the cause of the crash.
