1 Killed in Mendota Crash at San Benito Avenue and Whitesbridge Avenue
MENDOTA, CA (September 18, 2021) – At least one was killed after a car crash at San Benito Avenue and Whitesbridge Avenue in Mendota.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the tragic accident took place late Saturday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:10 a.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Mendota. They crashed at the intersection of San Benito Avenue and Whitesbridge Avenue.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a silver Toyota and a red Chevrolet. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Panoche Road.
Medical personnel confirmed that one person died as a result of the collision. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of San Benito and Whitesbridge avenues to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Mendota crash is still under investigation.
