MENIFEE, California (Thursday, February 11, 2016) – A Perris Union High-School District Bus collided with a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Evans and Holland Roads. The Riverside County Fire Department helped rescue 22 students and two occupants of the passenger vehicle. Of the occupants from the passenger vehicle one sustained major injuries and the other minor. Overhead personnel arrived on the scene, along with five fire engines, and 24 firefighters.
Firefighters performed triage on the scene for the twenty students who sustained moderate injuries. Five ambulances took several parties to nearby medical centers. The incident took place Wednesday afternoon at about 1:54 p.m.
