5 Marines Injured in Traffic Collision on 215 Freeway Wednesday
Menifee, CA (September 8, 2021) – Several people suffered injuries following an accident involving a military vehicle that occurred on the Interstate 215 Freeway.
Military Vehicle Accident Near McCall Boulevard in Menifee, September 8
According to My News LA, a U.S. Marine Corps cargo truck in the southbound side of the highway. The crash took place just south of McCall Boulevard.
Preliminary investigation revealed the military vehicle rolled down an embankment; and came to a rest at the parking lot of Sun City Hardware in Menifee.
Shortly after 12:40 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all parties with injuries. The article published online confirmed five Marines suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. Pending confirmation, the names of the victims remained undisclosed.
A hazardous materials team was called to the scene to clean up the fuel spill.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the military vehicle accident in Menifee.
