Bicyclist Injured in Crash on Bay Road in Menlo Park
MENLO PARK, Calif. (Sept. 21, 2023) — A Menlo Park bicycle accident happened Thursday morning at Bay Road and Marsh Road in San Mateo County.
The injury accident occurred around 9:54 a.m. on Sept. 21st, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch report.
A driver in a Mercedes Benz GLC struck the bicyclist due to unknown circumstances on Bay Road, the report said. The narrow, two-lane roadway does have a bicycle lane and the speed limit is 30 mph. Also, there are traffic lights at the intersection and no right turn on red lights for motorists turning right onto Bay Road from southbound traffic on Marsh Road.
The Menlo Park Police Department responded to investigate the Menlo Park bicycle accident.
Paramedics were also on scene to handle the injuries to the bicycle rider, but there are no specific details.
There are no further details about the bicycle accident on Bay Road at this time.
