1 Injured in Oakdale Road Crash Near Shaffer Road
MERCED COUNTY (August 1, 2018) – According to the Merced Sun-Star, an injury traffic collision occurred Wednesday evening on Highway 59, also known as Oakdale Road.
At approximately 6:50 p.m., a Cadillac Escalade reportedly left the roadway for unknown reasons and crashed on the highway near Shaffer Road. Following the incident, Merced County emergency responders closed Oakdale Road to land a helicopter.

Officials said one person was flown to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. At this time, the name of the patient remained unknown.
Investigators did not discuss how many people were inside the Cadillac at the time of the wreck, and if there are other motorist involved in the incident.
