Man Hit and Injured by Vehicle on West Santa Fe Avenue Thursday
Merced, CA (January 7, 2022) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred on West Santa Fe Avenue.
The Merced Sun-Star News reported police responded to the 800 block of West Santa Fe Avenue due to reports of a fight in progress. When the officers arrived at the location, they found one person lying on the ground. Investigators determined the victim was struck by a motorist at the end of the fight.
Responding medical personnel rendered aid to the injured pedestrian. After the evaluation, paramedics decided to transfer the patient to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The name of the injured party remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
