Teenage Girl Injured in Pedestrian Accident
MERCED, Calif. (August 29, 2023) — A 16-year-old girl was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at West 20th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Merced.
The collision occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, August 28th, according to ABC 30 news.
The teenager was reportedly crossing the roadway when an oncoming silver car struck her and fled the scene without stopping to help her.
Merced police are now searching for the suspect who fled. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the injured teen to a hospital in unknown condition. Police say the girl’s injuries were no life threatening.
There is no description of the suspect and the car is only described as being silver.
