Pedestrian, 26, Seriously Injured in Merced Accident at G Street and Donna Avenue
MERCED, CA (February 19, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after an accident at G Street and Donna Avenue in Merced.
According to The Merced Sun Star and Your Central Valley, the incident occurred on Friday morning. Officers reported the crash at about 5:19 a.m.
Police said a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit her on G Street at the intersection with East Donna Drive.

Firefighters along with the paramedics then responded to the scene. They found the 26-year-old woman unresponsive in the southbound lanes of G Street as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed her to a local hospital for treatment of moderate to major injuries. Officials did not disclose her name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist stopped after hitting the victim. They stayed at the crash site and cooperated with the officers.
Officers soon blocked G Street, south of Donna Avenue, for a few hours following the accident. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
