Six Passengers Taken to Hospital After Metro Bus Hits a Pole
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 23, 2024) – Six passengers aboard a Metro bus were injured when it struck a pole early Friday morning in Studio City.
The Los Angeles Fire Department reported the bus accident happened around 4:30 a.m. on August 23rd in the 3900 block of Lankershim Boulevard.
A total of seven people were assessed at the scene and all had non-life threatening injuries from the collision, MyNewsLA reported.
The bus operator was treated for minor injuries after the crash and released.
One bus passenger, Nicholas Tate, had scrapes on his face and was wearing a neck brace after the crash. He told an ABC News reporter “my neck is killing me” and he had to climb out of the bus.
The Los Angeles Police Department is heading up the investigation into what happened, the report said.
