Mia Johnson, 50, Killed in Rancho Cucamonga Crash at Milliken and Base Line
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (July 20, 2021) – A DUI crash killed Mia Johnson near Milliken Avenue and Base Line Road in Rancho Cucamonga.
The sheriff’s department identified the 50-year-old Rancho Cucamonga woman as one of the victims in the fatal wreck on July 10.
The incident began when Mia Johnson was a passenger in a car traveling in the area of Milliken Avenue and Base Line Road in Rancho Cucamonga.
Deputies said a vehicle struck three other cars, including the vehicle Mia Johnson was riding. The impact pushed their car into the intersection where an eastbound vehicle hit it.
The Daily Bulletin wrote that the accident took place at about 5:13 p.m.
Multiple Cars Hit by DUI Driver
Both Mia Johnson and the driver of their vehicle sustained serious injuries as a result of the Rancho Cucamonga crash. Paramedics rushed them to a hospital, where she died.
Meanwhile, medical personnel took the man who caused the wreck for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds. Officers determined that he was under the influence when the collision occurred.
They soon arrested and charged him with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, second-degree murder and DUI causing injury.
