Pedestrian Killed on 605 Freeway in Santa Fe Springs Identified

SANTA FE SPRINGS, Calif. (June 18, 2025) – Micah Clantz, 20, was struck and killed last Friday while walking on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Santa Fe Springs.

CHP officers reported the crash at 8:56 p.m. on Friday, June 13th on the southbound side of the freeway at the Telegraph Road off-ramp.

A white Honda sedan was stopped near the center divider and young man was lying near the HOV lane, according to the CHP report.

Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene and there is no further information at this time.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office later identified the victim as Micah Clantz.

The CHP closed down three traffic lanes, including the HOV lane, to conduct their investigation.
