Michael Arellano, 29, Killed in Corona Accident at Magnolia and Santana
CORONA (August 30, 2018) – A driver was killed after a traffic collision in the area of Magnolia Avenue and Santana Way on Thursday, according to KTLA and My News LA.
Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 29-year-old Michael Arellano, of Corona.
As per the reports, police said a Jeep Cherokee was traveling north on Magnolia Avenue when for an unknown reason its male operator failed to notice that the traffic ahead was stopped for a red light at Santana Way.

Arellano, waiting in the left-turn pocket, was preparing to turn his Honda Accord west into the shopping center when he was rear-ended by the Jeep. The Accord was ultimately forced into the intersection and struck a Volkswagen Jetta.
Police affirmed that Arellane was immediately taken to Corona Regional Hospital where he later died. The accident occurred at around 11 a.m., just west of Santana Regional Park.
The man driving the Jeep was brought to the Riverside Community Hospital with unspecified injuries while the motorist in the Jetta was unharmed. Their names were not disclosed.
The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
