Michael Bradfute, 42, Fatal Victim in Collision on Highway 99 Near V Street Wednesday
Merced, CA (June 21, 2021) – Michael Bradfute, a 42-year-old man, died following a traffic accident on Highway 99 near V Street in Merced County.
On June 16, Wednesday, Michael Bradfute crashed into the back of a tractor trailer. The Merced Sun-Star reported the man was driving a 2021 Mazda CX-5 when for an unknown reason he failed to slo for traffic ahead.
Deadly Car, Truck Accident in Merced County [June 16]
First responders found the Mazda pinned underneath the truck. Shortly after 10:40 p.m., authorities confirmed Michael Bradfute suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision. It remained unclear whether the man died at the scene or at a hospital.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the operator of the big rig, 52-year-old Robert Ondracek, appeared unharmed after the unfortunate event.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the deadly car accident in Merced County.
