Michael Kain Killed San Jacinto Car Crash Highway 79
Michael Kain Dead, Andre Turnley Injured in San Jacinto Accident
SAN JACINTO (August 22, 2017) – A 51-year-old man killed in an alleged street racing crash on Highway 79 Sunday has been identified as Michael Kain, according to The Press Enterprise.
Riverside County Coroner’s Office said Kain was rushed to Riverside University Health Systems Medical Center where he later died. He was from Hemet.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol reported that the accident occurred about 1:40 p.m. on northbound Highway 79, also known as Sanderson Avenue. It took place half-mile south of Gilman Springs Road.
Officers affirmed that 23-year-old Cabazon resident Albert Ochoa was driving a silver Nissan 300 north on Highway 79 when he crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into a Hyundai Elantra driven by Kain.

The Hyundai was then apparently rear ended by a Honda Accord. The Honda was operated by 50-year-old Hemet resident Andre Turnley who was traveling behind Kain at the time.
According to CHP, Ochoa was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Turnley was also hospitalized with injuries considered as minor.
Meanwhile, witnesses claimed that the Nissan and a red Dodge Charger were both headed north on Sanderson Avenue prior to the deadly collision. The two were believed to have been involved in a speed contest.
The Dodge’s driver left but returned to the scene and contacted the authorities. The incident remains under investigation.
