Motorcyclist Killed in Oroville Crash is Identified
OROVILLE, Calif. (August 28, 2023) – Michael Murphy, 40, of Oroville, died in a motorcycle accident on Friday night at Fallbrook Avenue and Greenville Street in Oroville.
The deadly crash occurred around 7:57 p.m. on August 24th, according to the Oroville Police Department and Action News Now.
A driver in a Jeep SUV collided with the motorcyclist due to unknown circumstances at the intersection, according to a report by Action News Now. The Jeep driver was traveling southbound on Fallbrook Avenue and collided with the eastbound motorcyclist on Greenville Street.
Paramedics responded and attempted to save the life of the motorcycle rider, but he died at the scene. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries in the traffic accident.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the Oroville motorcycle crash on Greenville Street.
