Homeless Man, 61, Identified as Victim of Crash
LONG BEACH, Calif. (Sept. 24, 2024) – Michael Shaun Ross, 61, was struck and killed by a Long Beach fire truck in front of the station early Tuesday in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach.
The fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on Sept. 24th in the 5300 block of East Second Street, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The Long Beach Police Department is heading up an investigation into what happened.
The homeless man was outside the fire station’s truck entrance/exit when the vehicle struck him.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff-Coroner identified him as Michael Shaun Ross.
